The Spreading of The Tribes of Jacob

We have long looked into the possibility of mapping and charting the spread of The Bantus (the original People of Israel in ancient southern Africa) all across northern, southern, eastern and western Africa. We know from our Scriptures that eventually the House of Jacob spread across the whole world. Now we will focus on the Spreading on the continent itself. And we will unfortunately not make time for say those (perhaps parts of Juda and Ephraim) that was taken into the Arab slave trade (fled to West Africa then US), or those that fled away from the continent (on the many islands of the Sea, Caribbeans or Indian Ocean Islands). We will focus here on those that stayed behind and went deep into the bush, literally running for their lives from most of the grand historical sites (Jerusalem, Bethsaida, Corazin or the like) all of these mentioned in our beloved Scriptures. So in the next articles we will make mentions of some of the (most likely) original Bantu people, who can be identified by their traditions and customs, but also as we have alluded in Testament of the 12 Patriarchs, by their sins and fruits you will know them. We already know and have traced the some of the Nguni People and Tribes (Zulu, Xhosa, Swati and others), as being sons of Nobuhlali, (Naphtali) Juda, Zebulwane (Zebulon and Benyoni (Benjamin). There has been intermingling. Now lets look into some other ones, like Levi and first born Reuben. Where did they go? Lets dive...

Now when we use the word Jew or Hebrew, we are using words that has certain connotations / and things (even stigma) attached. These words should not be associated with the practises being taught in what is proclaimed to be The Promised Land in the deserted lands of the Middle East (which is closer to Babylon than anything else). Rather try to move these descriptions of ancient peoples over to describing what or who they should be describing. The Children of Abraham. These, certainly melanated people, are the true heirs of the Land, but also seemingly the people that refused the Gospel the most. And according to Paul, became enemies of the Gospel. A harsh way of putting it, but this is another topic and gets very deep and disturbing for anyone practising traditional African customs. The ways of Muthi and Sangomas of the day are unfortunately steeped in sin. Their doors are open for a realm very unpleasant for the human mind. And nothing but suffering and uncertainty comes to those that live and follow such things. Certainly an article looming for sure in the future.

For now Lets focus on the People, and where we might find them today in the African Diaspora. Its not hard at all, just follow their customs and they practically line up. Even Language will be a giveaway to who and where they are !

Now let us try to tie in Prophetical Scripture of what is going to happen in the Land Southern Africa at some point in time (Isaiah 11:10-16):

"10 In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious. 11 In that day SoNiNi will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the surviving remnant of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam (Congo?), from Babylonia (Horn of Africa) from Hamath and from the islands of the Sea (Caribbean / Indian Ocean)
12 He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth. 13 Ephraim’s jealousy will vanish, and Judah’s enemies will be destroyed; Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah, nor Judah hostile toward Ephraim. 14 They will swoop down on the slopes of Philistia to the west (Mozambique) ; together they will plunder the people to the east. They will subdue Edom and Moab, and the Ammonites will be subject to them. 15 SoNiNi will dry up the gulf of the Egyptian sea with a scorching wind he will sweep his hand over the Euphrates River. He will break it up into seven streams so that anyone can cross over in sandals. 16 There will be a highway for the remnant of his people that is left from Assyria, as there was for Israel when they came up from Egypt."

What is being talked about by the Prophet Isaiah is old geography, and how people will gather in the Promised Land towards the end. Some of these are coming while others are things happening right now. We can however use some of these Scriptures to pinpoint the places talked about, to start mapping these ancient civilisations once again, Assyrians, Babylonians, Elamites, Moabites and Amorites (and so many more). Allot of peoples mentioned in the Bible have a play in history and are recognised today by their customs and rituals. Sadly some of Jacobs tribes are under deep spells of ancestor worship, a practise that has darkened and affected many a strong and pure Bantu mind for far far too long. It must stop, and a seeking of SoNiNi must again be the main focus, not the fear of Muthi. Muthi is nothing before SoNiNi, its practise is an abomination and a sign of a darkened mind. Believe not in these fables or their powers, fear the one who has power over body and soul.

Immanuel himself told us who to fear (Luke 12,5):

"But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him."

Now the beginnings of what would become known as The Great Spreadings happened during the many times of trouble that came about after the fall of the Temple in Jerusalem. As described of Historian Josephus, after these events Bantus would have fled for their very lives and bringing with them a culture and traditions that became very unpopular to practise. So they went underground or hid in remote areas, like Central Africa, taking on languages of the local tribes but keeping their traditions handed down by Moses.

Now the Temple was captured on 9th Abu (January/February according to the Bantu Calendar) Josephus accounts for all this in Wars of the Jews (Book 7.1.1):

1. Now as soon as the army had no more people to slay or to plunder, because there remained none to be the objects of their fury, [for they would not have spared any, had there remained any other work to be done,] Caesar gave orders that they should now demolish the entire city and temple, but should leave as many of the towers standing as were of the greatest eminency; that is, Phasaelus, and Hippicus, and Mariamne; and so much of the wall as enclosed the city on the west side. This wall was spared, in order to afford a camp for such as were to lie in garrison, as were the towers also spared, in order to demonstrate to posterity what kind of city it was, and how well fortified, which the Roman valour had subdued; but for all the rest of the wall, it was so thoroughly laid even with the ground by those that dug it up to the foundation, that there was left nothing to make those that came thither believe it had ever been inhabited. This was the end which Jerusalem came to by the madness of those that were for innovations; a city otherwise of great magnificence, and of mighty fame among all mankind."

So you can see, Jerusalem was evened to the very ground and if anything is left standing at all it is today, it is but a mere wall if even that. Now the reported killings Josephus gives us, may have been milder than the ravage killings done so by Islam and Mohammedans in the time AFTER the Romans. The Islamic manhunt for Believers in The Way (as it was called) would span worldwide, as Romans just created their own Gospel, Islam continued killing the First Christians and Bantus following The Laws of Moses. Now we speculate that perhaps the Muslims and others even used The Book of Revelation as a map to single out the 7 different Christian congregations for slaughter. But that is another can of worms and deserves more research.

Now this being said, if you look at the Map of Madaba, a mosaic laid floor (about twenty feet wide) in St. Georges Orthodox Church in the modern land of Jordan, in Madaba. Now this map, may be the oldest surviving map of The Promised Land, although it has been somewhat destroyed by Islamic vandals. It is dated 543 AD, however those dates, as with all dated objects are up for debate and should be questioned. We will make a proper study of this map in another post as we go deeper in and look closer for the actual site of Jerusalem, which was indeed in Southern Africa. And mark other locations.

The Muslims did start their killing spree and slit the throats of most converted African Christians (if you understand), having fled southern Africa and moved through ancient lower and upper Egypt and towards Constantinople. Islam began another dark age, and this must have been times of serious trouble, causing Bantus (Pharisees and keepers of the law) and Christians to spread around the world even, as Islam took control over all major sea ports on the whole continent of Africa. And all information was controlled thereafter. Another part of dark ages had been ushered in through the violent religion of Islam. The reason why the Map has been destroyed is that the Umayyad Dynasty was offended by the fact that this Mosaic in Madaba, shows Immanuel as the son of The Most High and He walked by the shores of Lake of Galilee (somewhere in the western and eastern cape Cape). On the Map this happened by the Dead Sea (Salty Sea) not Lake Galilee, so its not historically accurate that way.

Anyhow, The Madaba Map was based upon writings of Eusebius called Onomasticon, we are using the 1971 translation, a detailed Lexicon on places in Scripture a s taken from Old Biblical Scrolls. The Onomasticon is a great resource and will be of great value in further studies of the Madaba Map, which we will try to link up to modern Southern African places and names, to the old ones. In a more detailed study but it takes allot of time and its very easy to get Tribes and customs misplaced. Just one mistake or misread of Scripture and you have a wrong outset, wrong starting point will get you nowhere. But the Post on Negev and the East being the only unarguable cardinal directions, we are getting somewhere.

Now while modern maps are labeled as if you can stand on the south and look north, this map is labeled from north looking south. The Lettering is then upside down to how we could orient on a normal map.

While modern maps are labeled as if you stand on the south pole and look north. The Madaba map is labeled from the north looking south. This means that the lettering of the map is upside down to how we would orient the map on paper. Its like looking at a map of the USA 180 degrees (upside down) to your left. Another thing is that the Madaba Map is not to scale, meaning Jerusalem is enlarged and distances make little sense for us now, unless you put the map over a map of Southern Africa (seen from the East) then things start falling into place.

If we consult the Onomasticon by Eusebius of Cesarea, we see that the city of Medaba was close to a city built by Roboni (Reuben) called Kariathaeim (Kariatha), look at Numbers 32,37. Also check the Onomasticon and the Exodus route explained there.

Lets look at the Scriptures shall we and Numbers 21,30-31:

30 But we defeated those Amorites. We destroyed their towns from Heshbon to Dibon, from Nashim to Nophah, near Medeba.” 31 So the Israelites made their camp in the land of the Amorites.

We see here mentions of Medaba, and more in Joshua 13,9:

9 Their land started at Aroer by the Arnon Ravine and continued to the town in the middle of the ravine. And it included the whole plain from Medeba to Dibon.

We will talk more about Medaba in a coming post, as to where it might have been located. Eastern Cape seems likely.

Now it is no secret that forms of practising Moses Laws has been growing and thriving in African communities all over Africa really, in places like small villages where darkness just could not find them and snuff them out. SoNiNi hid them, even from themselves. Now the historical practises of these tribes and people now may have been formed and changed (influenced) by modern Judaism, which again is something completely different and a culture being lived out in the Middle East by a people that are not who they claim to be. To get a taste of the real Bantus, people of Jacob you must go to the rural areas of Southern Africa where some of the tribes can still be found today. There you will find the faith alive and stubborn as only a true stiff-necked Bantu can be.

If we go through the countries like Uganda, we find that the community called Kulanu has been active for quite some time, and they call themselves Abayundaya Jews (Now this means People of Juda according to them). Historically starved as the Ugandans along with the rest of the continent of Africa, their claim to be of the Tribes of Jacob is not without merit. Its only a question of which tribe, and they seem a very good candidate for being the of the Levitical Priests and the Tribe of Levi, Tribe of Roboni (Rebuen) and Manasseh had a half tribe on the East side of the Jordan (Orange River).

Regardless of the tribe, the Kulanu have been involved with Customs from the Old Testament for a long time. Now they have seven villages with seven different synagogues and approximately 1500 practising Abayudaya Jews in Uganda. The largest village is Nabagoya Hills outside Mbale, not far from Kampala. They will tell you they have been there for hundreds of years and been given these customs by their fathers.

If we look to Cameroon and Kenya, we also find so-called Jewish communities, that have gone from Christianity and back to Judaism.

Now just like the Abayudaya and Kulani, we go over the border to Kenya and we find the Jews of Kasuku. These locations are close enough that they might be related or even of the same tribe. If we travel further up to the West African Coast, we find Ghana Hebrews and Sefwi Wiawso (who seem to have come from Both Mail and Ivory Coast before that). The location of Sewfi Wiawso should tell the story that The People of Jacob really was looking for a place as remote as possible, because they were being manhunted wherever they went, escaping from ancient Southern Africa.

Now we do have a full segment of the part talking about the Lembas from Zimbabwe. It will be controversial because they are the most vocal (at least for now) about their Jewish inheritance. And you will notice we use the connotation Jewish here, because that is what they identify with. Jewishness, not necessarily Bantuness (If we can be so free, as if anyone can give a definition of that entails). So they do not necessarily, at least the vocal factions of the Lembas, identify with their brothers and sisters on the continent, but they identify arabs in the middle east. Who are not the Hebrews mentioned in the Bible. They will come to see the truth of the matter eventually though. All will flock back to the land and take their inheritance, and also with Immanuel in the Kingdom to come.

So then in conclusion, there seems to be cooperations between the Lemba and the Kulanu, which makes for an interesting thing. Could these be tribes of Levi or even Juda OR are they simply more to add to lost peoples from the pages of the Bible? Now there are estimated numbers of over 100,000 Lembas living in South Africa. We do have a full article on the Lembas looming in the not so distant future, but we need to go up there to Zimb for ourselves and speak with them before we put that article out. It will be nothing short of very interesting to see how they will react when confronted with the information we have on our site. Either it falls into good soil and accepted immediately as a known truth as the Father will reveal it to them, or more likely some will vehemently resist. Time will tell. Either way we did our job which is to preach the Gospel, Hebrew and Gentile alike.
